ENTERTAINMENTS.

A successful entertainment was given in the Hamner Hall, on Wednesday evening, in aid of the school children's prize fund-and annual sports. Amongst those who gave contributions were Mrs Reeves, Misses Ferguson, Byrne, Stewart and Mason, and Messrs. Hobbs, Pike, Silbon, Horwell and Trotter. The Rev !W. Campbell returned thanks to the promoters, Messrs Hobbs and Silbon, and to all who had assisted. The annua! ©oncer fc in connection with tho Leeston Catholic School was held in the Leeston Town Hall, on Friday evening. There was a large attendance o ; f the publio, and a varied programme was gone through by the pupils and others. The adult performers were Miss O'Brien, Messrs Cropp and Kavanagh. Miss L. O'Boyle acted as accompanist'.
