Tallow.—At the auction sales, 884 casks were offered and 325 casks-sold; Mutton, fine 335, medium 275; beef, fine 29s 6d, medium 275. Wheat.—Tho American visible supply of wheat is 61,694,000 bushels. SyDNEY, December 14. The week's wool sales closed firm, without appreciable change. Greasy touched 13Jd, scoured 14d. MELBOURNE, December 14. • Hides.—The market is very firm. Good conditioned sorts are Id dearer. Tallow is unaltered. [Peh Press Association.] NAPIER, December 14. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company has received the following cable message from London today : —" The frozen meat market is very weak, and prices are unchanged." " Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London Oifioe, under date December 13:—"Since our last telegram prices of tallow in general are lower by 3d to 6d per cwi. The market is depressed. Russian buyers a.re cancelling orders, owing to difficulties in connection with financing, and the -gloomy political situation." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London house, under date December 13:— Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following desorip__tiona of tallow:—Fine mutton' 30s per ""owt, good besf 27s per cwt, mixed 25s per cwt.
