PRESENTATIONS.

A valedictory smoke concert was afcoorded Mr M. Flannery ait the Oddfellows’ Hall, lieaston, oh Saturday evening, on the occasion of his leaving the district, and Mr John M’Vinnie prosided over an attendance of fifty friends. The usual toasts were honoured, and a programme of vocal items was submitted. During the evening, Mr Lill, on behalf of Mr Flannery’s friends, presented him with. a well filled silver Sovereign case. Mr Flannery _ left Leeston on Monday to enter on his new duties as cattle buyer for Messrs Clarkson and Sons, at Wakanui.
