The Toulon squadron and portion of Lord Charles-Beresford's is participating in a fete at Genoa, where the King and Queen of Italy are inaugurating harbour works. AN INDIAN DEMAND. Router's correspondent at Lahore asserts that the ruling chiefs, nobility and gentry of India are making increased demands that a Prince of the British Royal House should* rule the country, with advice from the Ministry, the Go-vernor-General being Prime Minister, and the leading chiefs Councillors. PAID LABOUR MEMBERS. Sir 'Edward Clarke and Sir Robert Redd have given their opinion that the Trade Union rule with regard to the payment of members of the House of Commons is legal.
