FIRES.
■ ’— At twenty minutes past eight o’clock yesterday morning the Lyttelton firebell rang an alarm. Tlio cause was the accidental ignition of some straw in a' loft above a stable behind Mr C. Cook’s butcher’s shop in London Street. The flames were extinguished without any damage being done.
