Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the, necessary alterations: Mails per express to Dunedin and South close daily at 9.80 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.; late fee (i.e., letters bearing Id additional stamp), 9,45 a.m. and 12.45 p.m.; also on mail vans up to 10.10 a.m. and 1.25 p.m.; books and newspapers at 8.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. THURSDAY 7 , NOVEMBER 24. For Kaikoura, per Cygnet, at 6.26 p.m.; late letters, 6.40 p.m,; guard’s van, 7.45 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Mararoa, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25. For Australian States (due Sydney November 80), and South Africa, per Waikare, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, also Australian States, etc., to connect with Woikaro, per Rotomahana, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters! 4.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26. For Australian States (duo Melbourne December 8), India, China, Ceylon, Hong Kong, Straits Settlement, South Africa, etc., also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Brindisi (due London January 8), per express, to connect with Monowai, at 12,30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.23 p.m. train. For Dunedin direct, also Australian States, etc., to connect with Monowai, per Zealandia, at 1.45 p.m.; lute fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.45 p.m. train. _For Northern Ports and "Westport, per Mararoa, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Talune, at 7.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 7.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 10.65 p.m. train. Mails for South Africa leave Melbourne on November 23. Mails for United States, Canada, United Kingdom, etc., via San Francisco, close at Auckland on November 25, at 1 p.m. Mails for South America, United Kingdom, etc., per Tongariro, close at Wellington on November 24, at 10 a.m. The next mail from the United Kingdom is due in Christchurch on November 29, via Brindisi.
