DBtJXKENXEss.—Mary M.’Kognie pleaded nuiltv to a charge of drunkenness 1 , and asked Die Bench ty discharge her, staling that she had a railway ticket for Duuedm, and was prepared to go there at once. Iho Sub-Inspector stated that he would be very glad to seo the last of the accused, and hoped that the Bench would giro her a chance to go. She was discharged on the understanding that sho should go to Dunedin by the express train that morning. By-law Casks.— For boarding a tram while it was in motion Frederick Giccson was fined 10s and costs.—Josiah Malone was fined 20s and costs for •driving a vehicle on tho wrong side of tr.e road. James Hiron was fined 10s and costs _for allowing a house to wander; and Benjamin Drury was fmc-di £s and costs for a .similar offence, bis plea being that some larrikins bad opened the gate of his paddock. George 'Yard was fined 6s and costs for allowing b's cliimhcy to catch fire. —John Miller was fined 20s and) costs for driving a vehicle at night without a light. —Robert Whale was fined 5s and costs for driving a vehicle at other than a walking pace over the intersection of High and Cashel Streets. For, leaving vehicles in various parts of tho city, George Lewis, Arthur Wright and William James Par-sons were each, fined 20s and costs. Offending Cyclists.— For riding their bicycles at night without lights, John Blackburn, Wa.lcot Wood, Hubert Look, Mortimer O’Grady and John Kennedy were each fined 10s and costs. —'Frederick Martin was- fined) 10s and costs for riding a bicycle on a. footpath. School Attendance. —For failing to send bis child l lo school regularly E. Noonan was fined 2s.
