At the. Supwsne Court, Timothy Pacardi . Christian was found guilty of a shocking outrage on a seven-year-old child, and was sentenced to ton years' imprisonment, and ordered to receive two floggings of twentyfive strokes each. In the alleged! li'bel cases, the accused, ■'William Richandson audi William John Bell, put in pleas of not guilty with the addition that, if the alleged -defamatory matter was published, it was true, and published! in the public interest.
