ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
An inquest was held at the Morgue yes-, terday «jn the body of Mrs C. H. Elvines, •who died suddenly at her residence, on the East Belt, on Wednesday. Dr Symes stated that death was due to apoplexy. The jury returned a. verdict in accordance with the evidence. An old Maori man, named Tamati Wafcanene, was found dead in his whare at Lake View Station, Little River, yesterday. He was last seen by Mr F. Birdling, who employed him, oui Monday evening, when he appeared to be in good health.
