NOMINATIONS FOR GREATER . CHRISTCHURCH. Nominations far the Mayoralty and for seats on tho Greater Oh list church Council closed;- at noon -yesterday, and it will be seen that there will bo a contest In each ward. 1 As Mr H. F. Wigra.m was tho only candidate nominated for the position of Mayor ho was declared elected. The following is a complete list of the n-ominaltiou for seats on the* Council: Central Ward—Messrs J. M. Taylor, W. E. Samuels, H. B. Sorensen, H. J. Beswick, G. Simpson, G. Payling, C. M. Gray, H.. H. Loughnan, AV. H. Cooper and W. W. Collins. Sydenham—Messrs J. Hadfield, B. P. Manhire, J. Forrester, W. Jacques, J. Butterfield; H. G: Ell, M.H.R., G. W. J. Parsons and>W. Millar. St Albans—Messrs G. Hyde, H. E. Morgan, C. Lafferty, A. F. Carey, A. H. Hobbs, F. J. Barlow, W. Newton and W. J. Neate. Linwood—Messrs H. Pearce, H. J. Ofcley T. N. Horsley and W. -H. Denton. Tho number, of members required to represent each ward in the Council is; Central .Ward, 6; Sydenham Ward, 4; St Albans Ward, 2; and Linwood Ward, 2. Tike election -will be held on. Wednesday next. - - LYTTELTON. The following candidates have already been nominated in connection with the Lyttelton municipal election :—For Mayor, Messrs' J. Grubb (retiring Mayor),',W. Radcliff o and Captain W. L. Whitby; for councillors, Messrs R. Brown, W. C. Cleary, J. Ga-rravd, C. Ka.y, G. C. Smith and S. B. Webb (retiring councillors),\ and Messrs', C. E. Curtis. P. Cleary, N. C. Schumacher, J. T.. Norton and l Captain J. M’Leam. Nominations will elovsc at noon to-day. Mr H. C. Ojrhell has been elected Mayor of Akaroa forvtho third time. Groat interest is taken in the coming election of Councillors, twelve having, been nominated for the 'nine seats. All the old Councillors are standing, with the exception .of Councillor Mottram, tlie new men -being Messrs Henning, Chappell, Wolfreys and Lewitt. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, April 21. Mr F. AY. AATilliams has been re-elected Mayor unopposed. For the nine Cotmcillorships seventeen nominations have been received. ■ For the .Hastings Mayoralty Mr AV. G. Dennett has been re-clected unopposed. Four nominations have been received for the Council.
