I repeat that the fares by tho tram I mentioned are 200 per cent fo Linwood and 500 per cent to New ■ Brighton) higher than by, certain other trams running the same distance, and this*l consider a most iniquitous, excessive 'and- unwarrantable tax upon the residents of those places., However, I may say I do nob blame the directors of the Tramway for trying to make their property appear a profitable investment (now that there is a prospect of selling to the new Tramway Board) anything like go. much as I do a wooden-headed Borough Council for recently renewing' a lease granted many year: ago with this .objectionable clause left un«. altered.—l am, etc., ; ‘ April 21,'1903.
