ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
a boating fatality; ’[Per Press Association.] WHANGAREI, March 30. A sad boating accident, happened' at Whangarei Heads, resulting in Colin Urquhart (of Whangarei Heads), J. Buxton (a Californian) and ,G. Inkster (Auckland) being drowned. Two other occupants of the boat, J. Urquhart, junr., and. J. Burke, wore rescued. Tim bodies of those’ drowned have been recovered. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 50. Alfred Joseph Marter, aged fifteen, a son.of Mr F. WhMartc-r, while accompanying a baker -on his round was thrown off the cart through a wheel going into a rut, and the wheel went over his head. Ho died on his way to the hospital. NAPIER, March 30. An elderly man, named Charles Elsraore Noble, aged seventy-four, an inmate .-of the Refuge, who got leave on Saturday to go to Awatoto, was picked up on-dhe road, having been seen-to fall'dovjjp. As he appear<>A to be suffering considerably, he was taken to the hospital, where he died. An inquest was held this evening, and a verdict of death from natural causes returned, the medical evidence showing that death had been caused by a clot of blood on the brain. An inquest touching the death of Margaret .Rogers, who died suddenly at her residence, Manchester Street, on Sunday, was held at the Morgue-yesterday afternoon, before Mr R. Beetbam, Coroner. A verdict was returned in accordance with the medical evidence, that-death had resulted from heart disease. ’
