In the Legislative Assembly, Mr Law, who was recently re-elected for Balmain South, took his seat on the front Opposition benches. The Bill authorising the issue of Treasury bills to the amount of four millions, /passed through committee after it had been amended, making the currency five instead of seven years, and the rate of interest 4 instead of 5 per cent. The reckless financing of the Government was severely condemned, and Ministers were charged with pawning the future. .
