MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES

The usual weekly meeting of the Christchurch Prohibition League was held in the rooms, Gloucester Street, on Friday evening. Six members were elected and four persons nominated for membership. The committee reported that arrangements were being made for holding a, tea meeting in the Canterbury Hall on Friday, Dec. 12. It was resolved to call a special meeting of the League in Cambridge Terrace Church on Deo. 10, and to -hold l the annual meeting on Dec. 19.
