SYDNEY, Nov. 13. * The Public Service Board report shows that the liabilities of tho Service Superannuation Fund are £2,324,000,' and the assets only £563,000, which will do little more than meet the obligations for the current year. The parlous condition of thei fund is the result in a large measure of retrenched Civil Servants becoming chargeable on the fund. The actuarial report attached recommends the necessity for Government assistance, and-suggests moderating the pensions and increasing the contributions. WILFUL MURDER. (Received Nov. 14, 12.19 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 13. A-verdict of wilful murder'against some | person unknown was found in the case of a, man named Haines, who was found shot in the Centennial Park. The evidence at the inquest disclosed that the deceased and a number of other men hunted the parks at nights, touting couples. THE KENIFFS. ■ . BRISBANE, Nov. .13. A petition is being signed in favour of 'the reprieve of the Keniffs.
