MASTER BAKERS.
IN CONFERENCE. The New Zealand United Master Bakers’ Association, which represents the Master Bakers’ Unions registered under the Conciliation and Arbitration Act, opened its annual Conference in the rooms of the Employers’ Association yesterday. The headquarters of the Association are at Wellington, and Mr W. A. Kellow, president, wno is presiding, comes from that city. Delegates were present from many parts of the colony, and Air J. G. Lawrence, president of the Dunedin Association, .arrived Last evening, and will take his seat to-day. The Conference sat all day yesterday, and was engaged in discussing preliminary matters. It will meet again at nine, o’clock this morning. At eleven o’clock the Conference will adjourn, and the members will be the guests of Me»rs Henry Bern- and Co. at a picnic, and during the day the visitors will visit the Belfast Freezing Works and the Kaiapoi Woollen Company’s mills. On Thursday evening they will be entertained by the Christchurch Master Bakers’ Union, and on; Friday evening they will be the guests oil the Canterbury branch of the) New Zealand Millers’ Association.
