The following were the results •in the: sports held by the Ashburton Mounted Rifles at Laghmo<r last Thursday:—Best troop horse—Trooper Stone 1, Lance-Cor* poral Lairib 2; potato race-—Trooper Silcock 1; Llcyd-Lindsay, Sergeant-Major Gibson, Corpora] Blunden, Troopers Blunders and Brucw 1 '■''exhibition- of horse trainingTroopers Hopwood and Williams; wrestling on horseback-—Coropoml Blunden, Troopers Hopwood and Williams; rescue rare—Oar* poral Blunden 1, Trooper Moore 2; officers* alarm—Lieutenant Harper 1, Lieutenants M'Lean 2; led sections by No. s—Trooper' Buckley 1; half sections over 'hurdles—Corporal Jeffs and Trooper M'Kay 1-; threading the needle —Trooper Moore 1; night* alarm—Corporal section 1.
