RANGIORA HORSE PARADE.

The annual parade of stallions, held by the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association, at Rangiorn., yesterday, in a paddock in Perceval Street, lent by Mr M, Scott, was the most satisfactory for some years. The good show of draughts was a marked feature, the entry numbering ewelve. Amongst these were some well known in The prize ring, notably Mr K. Mclntosh’s pair, Gknzier, and Glenlie, Mr J. Stalker’s Cavalier King, Mr J. Waller’s Royal Prince, Mr A. Yates’s Longbeach, and Mr A. McLauchlan’s Macaulay. Amonst the younger horses were Mr J. Taylor’s Ploughboy and Messrs Livingston Brothers’ Excelsior; and three-year-olds were represented by Mr T. Storer’s Duke of Kent, Mr J. Stalker’s Young Prime Minister, Mr J. Johns’s Sandow, ’and Messrs Wyllie Brothers’ Rea’s Fancy. Three thoroughbreds -were* exhibited—Mr F. Busch’s Good-bye, Mr J. C. Bowick’s Native Chief and Messrs Mangan, and Wilson’s Sacramento. There was also a trio in the Carriage and Hackney Class, Mr J. Stalker exhibiting Wanted on the Voyage, a promising three-year-old; Mr T. Oliff the well-known, trotter, Hazeldean ; and Mr J, B. Starky his handsome Apremont four-year-old, Bridegroom. The parade was under the management "of Mr A. Horne, president of the Association, and a subcommittee, consisting of Messrs C. d’Auvergne, N. Scoon, J. Lilly, J. Wyllie, H. Mehrtens and R. Ligget. There was a good attendance of those interested in horses, andia considerable crowd of spectators in the' street, from, which the parade could bo viewed gratis.
