ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

[Pur Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Sept. 30.

All old man named William Porter, an expressman, fell off a cart in town yesterday afternoon, and died at the hospital at midnight from a fractured skull. INQUEST. An inquest touching the death of the child Hnia Rudolph Kelly was neld yesterday morning, at the Hospital, before Mr R. Beetham, S.M., and a jury of six. The father of the child gave evidence as to the deceased being discovered with his night clothes on fire on Sunday morning, and Dr Crooke stated that the child died on the following morning from shock, caused by the burns received. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
