PURSUANT to the provisions of "The Counties Act, 1686/’ The Local Government Voting Reform Act, 1899,” and 1 “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” I hereby give notice that a POLL of the Ratepayers in the Malvern Water Supply District constituted under " The Water Supply Act, 1891,” will be taken in the Malvern Road Board Office, Springfield, tho East Malvern Road Board Office, Sheffield, tho Courtenay Road' Board Office, Kirwee, the Courthouse, Daifleld, the Schooihouso, Rollesion, and the County Council Chambers, Christchurch, on SATURDAY, the fourth day of October, 1902, between the hours of 9 a. rn. and 6 p.m., to decide by vote of the said Ratepayers whether the proposal to borrow from the Government of New Zear land a sum of FOUR THOUSAND POUNDS for tho Construction of Water-races in the said District, such Loan to be for a period of twenty-six years and to bear interest at the rate of four and a half per cent per annum, which proposal was published in “ The Press ” newspaper on the 21st and 23th August and the 4th and 11th September, and was duly considered at a meeting of the said Ratepayers at the office.of tho Malvern Road Board on the 18th September, 1902, shall' be CARRIED or REJECTED.
