The attendance was fair. The totalisator investments amounted to .£5633. Tho following are the results: SECOND HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 80 sovb; one mile and three-quarters—‘Bell-man, 10st 31b, 1; ’Oannongata, lOsfc Tib, 2; Mars, 12s( 2lb, 3. PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP, of 10!) sovs; seven furlongs—Maroon and Gold, 1; Maro, Gsfc 81b, 2: Solo, Tst 101 b, 3. Camille Tst also started. Maroon and Gold moved up entering tho straight, and drawing- away, won easily by bettor than two -lengths. Time—lnrm 4-lseo. Dividend—£2 6s. AVONDALE GUINEAS, of 150 sovs; for Iwo-yosT-olds.; one mile—Wairiki, Sst 101 b (Gaan.sford), 1; Has, Sst sib (Sceat-s), 2; Gladisia. Sat s!b (Speakraan), 3. Kelbum Sst 10!b and Mary Sea'ton Sst Sib also started. Kelburn and Gladisda, led for four hirlongs, when Wairiki and Idas passed them, and Wairiki, drawing out in the straight, won by three lengths, two lengths between second, and third. Durable and Ragabrash were together at tho distance, but The Shannon caught them, winning, by two lengths from- The Needle, who finished fast and bealt Durable by a 'length, for second position.
