Uruhb, lesterday telegraphed to the Minister of (efence as foilo-ws:—'"Will you kindly instruct the officer commanding tho district that the Permanent Artillery stay in Lyttelton on Ccro-nation, Day." He received tho following reply: "in re Permanent Artillery, Lyctelton, and your wire. We have no other intention. They-are to remain in iLyttolton on Coronation Day: W. Hall-Jones." The members of the Sydenham ''Borough Council have decided to take part in the procession on Coronation Day. * A* ' 'the meeting o£ the St Alban9 ■Borough Council, last evening the Coronation Committee recommended the Council 'to erect a fire brigade station to commemorate the Coronation. The report was adopted, and after some discussion it was resolved' that the proposed station should be erected in the Council yard, and that the matter should be left in " tie hands of the Works Committee. The hofcelfceepers of Rangiora, Kaiapoi, and other places in tho Kaiapoi district 'have arranged ifo close their premises on Corona- . tion Day from' 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. ' ■ In connection -with the Coronation celebrations on Thursday, any member of the various committees' wishing to join in the procession, is. required to advise the Town Clerk at once, so as to procure accommodation. ■ All trades and public bodies desirous of taking part in the procession who have not »ent an their names are requested to do so try seven o'clock this evening, so that the Procession Committee may allot the positions. Applications can bo sent to the .Town Clerk or to Mr R. W. Barry, secre- • tary, at the City Hall. .• ■ Returned troopers, relatives of returned troopers, or any member of the Send-off Committees can obtain tickets to -witness th# presentation of -war medals by applying at the City Council Offices or to the secretary, Mr R. W. Barry, City Hall. A Coronation service will be held in the Synagogue at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday morning. , ' The members .of the Loyal Orange Inetitntion will assemble at the Orange Hall »t 9.45 a.m. on Thursday, to attend the , Coronation service at the Primitive Methodist Church, Cambridge Terrace. On Wednesday evening, at eight o'clock, Bishop Julius will deliver a short address in the Carthedral on " The Origin, History 'and Meaning of the Coronation Services." '\ - ,:.■
