By Saturday's Culverden train that following were passengers bound for mer Springs:—Mr J. B. Bain, Mr C. Vk Smith, and the Misses C. M. Tulley, G, E. Tulley and A. E. Barker, Mr and Mrs L.\ Bruce and son, Mr and Mrs H. Lonsdalei.■' and Son, Mr R. H. Walker and Mr J.; W. Simes, all of Christohurch;. Mr andi. Mrs W. A. Fordham, Wellington, and Mr) R. W. Simpson, Timaru. I Captain Douglas, Amuri Mounted Rifles, and Mrs and Master Douglas returned to, Waikari on Friday night from a vist to. England. They received a very j hearty res ceptioh at the railway station. ' The Rev Father Keogh and the Hon J.. Brunton were passengers by the s.s. Zeai landia, which arrived from Sydney via east i coast ports on Saturday morning. I His Excellency the Governor left on a trip to the southern lighthouses by the s.s.. Tutanekai on Saturday afternoon. j Mr A. F. Hill, the well-known musician^ i who formerly lived in Wellington, but who ! has for several < years been .in Sydney,; , where he has attained a prominent profes- ! sional position, returned to Wellington l>y; the Mokoia on Thursday on a visit. ' i The Culverden train on Saturday evening, brought to town Mrs Longden and Misses; Longden (2), of Sydney, who have been; spending a month at Hanmer Springs. Mr W. H. Guhdry, president of the In- " corporated Institute of Accountants of New Zealand, left for Wellington by the Rotomabana on Saturday evening to attend, ' a special meeting of the Executive of the, Institute, which will be held to-day. His son, who accompanied' him, is leaving oa a business visit to the Old Country.,
