A DANGEROUS CROSSING.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Allow me space to call the Premier’s attention to the urgent necessity of having a gate-keeper at Park Road crossing. As I was passing there the other day two ladies in a trap were in the act of crossing, while an engine was coming from . Addington alongside White’s coal yard. The ladies could not see the engine, and the en-gine-driver could not see anyone coming from the town side, and but for the promtness of the lady with the reins, and the smartness of th® engine-driver in slowing down almost to a standstill, it would have been all up with the ladies. The ladies Live in Spreydon, and if this should meet their eyes, a note from them to the Premier might be the means of having a gate-keeper placed at the crossing, for the public safety. —I am, etc., ONE THAT SAW IT.
