OPERA HOUSE.
Another large audience gathered at the Opera House last evening, when the Dix Gaiety Company gave another successful entertainment. Miss Irene Franklin was first favourite, and all her numbers were loudly applauded. Miss Maud Hewson created more than a favourable impression by her excellent singing of " A Valley by the Sea "■■ and an encore piece. She has a pleasing contralto voice, and knows how to use it. A'number"' of other performers were greeted with appreciation by the audience.
