[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON. July 30. Mr A. Bayly, of Taranaki, will act as one ■of the committee to choose the New Zealand representative team to play New South Wales, in place of Mr Murray, of Auckland, who is unable to attend the meeting at Wellington on August 17. The Secretary of the New South Wales Union wrote, stating that the Union was' unable to agree to an alteration of the date of the Canterbury match, as requested, from August 28 to August- 29. ■ Considerable interest attaches to the intarprovindal match, Canterbury v. Wellington, which will be played at Lancaster Park on Saturday. , The Canterbury team will meet for practice on the Christchurch Club’s ground, at North Park, at half-past four this afternoon. ■ A meeting of the ; committee of the Sydenham Football Club was held on Monday evening, when matters in connection with the annual “ social ” were discussed. It was decided that the “social” should be held in tie Art Gallery, on Sept. 6.
