THE STATUS OF TRADES UNIONS.
A DECISION REVERSED. United Press Association--By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 23. The Judicial Committee of the House of Lords has decided in the case of the Coal Taff Vale Railway Company versus the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants that trades' unions can be sued in their registered names.' The case was last year before the High Court of Appeal, which held that it was impossible for a trades union to sue or be sued.
