ENTERTAINMENTS.

The members of the Sydenham Football Club held a social gathering in their rooms on Tuesday, when there was a large attendance. The President, Mr Meikleham, occupied the ohair, and there were also present Messrs W. Ho-ban, W. E. Monday, H. N. Bates, and G. Scott, vicepresidents. Vocal and instrumental items were given by Messrs Fox Brothers, Lawrence, Bills, Price, Cook, AFKay, Woledge, Scott, Hobam, Mead, Allen, Maurice, Sefton and West. An amusing item on the programme was the presentation; of a wooden spoon as a memento of the position held by the First Fifteen of the club for the ■season. An enjoyable evening -was brought to a close by the singing of “Aukl Lang Syne.”
