MARKET REPORTS.

ADDINGTON. There were fair entries, hi most classes m stock,, and a good attendance at Aldington yesterday. Entries comprised mil iat sheep, 1100 fat lambs, 4309 store sheep, 274 head of cattle and 393'pigs. Fat Cattle.—The supply .of beef consisted of 190 head, the quality all round being good. . Bidding was ; brisk, and late rates were mere than'upheld, prices ranging from 20s to 24s per 1001 b. A line of 17 prime steers from the Parnassus Estate realised from £9 12s 6d to £ll, 12 of them beino-. taken by Messrs H. B. Lane and feon at £lO 10s. to: fill. Other steers brought from £7 5s to £lO ss, heifers £5 12s 6d to £B, and up to £9 for extra prime; cows £5 2s 6d to £8 10s a nd up to £9 17s 6d for, an extra prime one. :, Store and Dairy Cattle.—There were no storo cattle in the market. Dairy cows were'fairly well represented, and good cows brought from £7 to £9 155,, and others from £4 5s to £6 10s.' Border Leicester lambs from the Totara Estate were secured by Mr W. B. Clarksonat 23? per head, including .the prize-takers at the xnmedin w inter .Show. .-■'Stobk Sheep.-—The yarding, which comprised about. 4300, was mostly,made np of two, large lines from Mr J. Price, at Birdling's Flat, of-which 2200 two, four and six-tooth and sound-mouthed cross-bred ewes made 17s 2d to 17s 4d, and 1300 hoggets.lis 4d .to- lis 7d. A few half-bred ewes made 16s 4d, and little lots of aged cross-breds 10s to lis 4d. Two small lines ■ of wethers sold at 15s 6d to 16s 4d. Pigs.—The yards were- well filled, but gopd,quality fats were' scarce, and the sab was irregular, baconers ruling at from dls. to 455, and up to, 49s for extra prime, averaging about 3>kl per lb ; porkers 18s to 30s, equal to 3J, to 3|d per lb. Stores were dull of sale at from 8s to 15s, and small, pigs at 4s to 6s. ■ ',,-' STOCK SALE,"' There, was . a ' good attendance at the Geraldine live .stock sale yesterday, and a

very heaU'hy market. There was a good demand for sheep, especially hoggets. Three-quarter-bred hoggets brought 12s to 13; lid, fat wetliers 15s 9d to 18s 3d, Limbs 16s 6d, fat ewes 17s 9d, ewes in. lamb 14s 91 to 17s 6d. There was an entry -of about 2500 sheep. There was also a good yarding of cattle. Springers fetched £3 17s 6d up to £6 2s, fat cows £5 ids to £6, steers and heifers 33s to £3 18s, cow in profit £7 10s. There was a good entry of pigs. Weaners brought 5s 3d to 7s 6d, and stores 8s to 355. Mr J. Mun--deli, for the Farmers' Co-operative, 'held a successful pale of farm implements after the .stock sale at satisfactory prices. Messrs Maling and Shallcrass' also" held a successful sale of farm implements. BURNSIDE. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, July 10. Fat Cattle—l 62 were yarded. This moderate supply, as there was no sale, last week, caused prices to advance to the extent of from 30? to 20s per head. Extra prims heavy bullocks £ll 'to £l2. prime £9 to £lO 15s, medium £7 to £S, prime heifers £6 to £7, one pen extra prime from Souih Canterbury £8 17s 6d, light and medium £4 10s to £5 10s. Fat Sheep—--1950 were penned, of which 74 were merino wethers. Bidding was spirited throughout. Prime crc«s.-bred wethers 18s 3d to 19s 9d, good 16s 6d to 18s. extra, prime ewes up to 18s 6d,' prime do 15s to 16s 6d, good 13s 6d to 15s, merino wethers 10s M to lis 6d. Lambs—Only 90 were penned, Vhieh sold at from 10s 9d to 13s. PigsOnly 47 were penned,.no stores or bsconers being amongst the lot. Slips 10s to 14s 6d, porkers 22s to 345, big pigs 63s to 70s.
