A MOTOR-CAR IN TROUBLE.
A RUNAWAY HORSE. Nicholas Oates (Mr Stringer), the owner of one of the local motor cars, was sued at the Magistrate’s Court, yesterday morning 'by, George Gould (Mr Wilding), whose horse. bolted; wbon approached by the car. Plaintiff’s horse had been waiting outside the Hospital, when the motor car came down the Lincoln road. The animal first proceeded tp Mck, to the detriment of one of his legs, and also of the-victoria to which was harnessed, and then ran away, col--sss«£ a City Council, dray. Plaintiff claimed £3 ifer 'the damage done to- the victoria, and £2O for injuries sustained! by the horse, whose leg and nerves had both been, conriderably injured. The defendant admitted his liability, but. disputed the amount of the damages due. After hear-. tag evidence, Mr Bishop, S.M., gave judgment for the plaintiff for £ls and costs.
