CHRISTCHURCH. , Sattjxid Aif , June 29. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) Drunkenness." —A first offender, a woman, was fined 5s and costa, in default tvrenty-ivnr hours’ imprisonment 5 , and Joseph Gregory,' James Finn, Joseph Pearson ami Charles -Moir were fined 10 s each, in default fortyeimlit hours’ imprisonment.—John Clifford, •\vho was in a very shaky condition, was remanded for a week for medical treatxrtent. Alleged Assault.—William Logan was charged with having assaulted James Hacker on June 28. Hacker was found by the police on Friday night, apparently suffering from a severe blow up on the head, an d stated that Logan had inflicted the iniuries, but he failed to put in an appearance at Court. On the application of *be police Logan was remanded until July 3 bail being allowed in two sureties of £lO each.
