[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, June 28. Over 8000 people attended the Otago A. and P. Association’s winter show yesterday, constituting a record. , Between £6OO and £7OO was taken at the children’s demonstration. ■ Mr Justice Williams, in dealing with the Stines’ case, expressed the opinion that where prisoners pleaded guilty in. the lower Court, and were merely sent up for sentence, bail ought not to be allowed- The Crown Prosecutor agreed that it was undesirable to liberate on bail when an accused pleaded guilty. "
