Matthews. ■ The match between the Canterbury Athletic and Cycling Club's team was played on Thursday afternoon at Hagley Park, and after a very interesting game resulted in a win for the Club's team by 11 to 8. The Referees' Association passed a resolution to-night that a conference of referees should be held in Wellington as early as possible.
