The annual competition amongst the boys attending the Kaiapoi .Borough, School for the medal given by the Australian .Humane Society took place yesterday , afternoon, near. Askeatbn, on the Waimakariri. The winner;' of tho medal was Leonard Smith, : who is under eleven years of age, and ‘Herbert King was second. There were several races swum* for prizes subscribed by the spectators. . ■
