The annul conversazione of ths School of Domestic Instruction will be held! in the Art Gallery this evening at eight o-’clo-ck. The Knightstown Library, which has just been renovated, will be re-openod with 1 a concert at eight o’clock to-morrow evening, when the Mayor of Sb Albans will preside.
' All the hairdressers’ and tobacconists’ shops in Christchurch and suburbs will be closed to-morrow, on the occasion of the annual picnic of the trade.
