THE LINWOOD SENSATION.

At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., William John Wilding was charged with having attempted to murder hi* wife, Sarah Jane Wilding, at Linwood, on Feb. 4, and also with having attempted to commit suicide by cutting his throat with a razor. On the night of the occurrence the accused was taken to the Hospital, where his wounds were stitched up, and after ■ being in a precarious condition for some time, he was discharged. Sub-Inspector Black, on behalf of the police, asked that the case should be remanded till Tuesday. Mr Donnelly, who appeared for the accused, agreed to this, and the Magistrate granted the application.
