EARTHQUAKE.
[Per Press Association.] WANGANUI, Feb. 14.. There was a. sharp shock of earthquake here at 5.35 to-night. , WELLINGTON, Feb. .14.. A sharp earth tremor was felt here at 5.30 this afternoon. BLENHEIM. Feb. 14. A severe and prolonged earthquake was experienced! here at about 5.30 this evening.' A smaller shock was felt yesterday at 5.30 p.m. A slight shock of earthquake was felt in Christchurch at 5.30 yesterday afternoon, : The direction was from north to south,land three distinct vibrations were felt.
