'Xhe residents of the district are flocking into the town. Advices from Capa Town and an interview with Mr Hagedooran, a Boer officer at Marseilles concur in stating that the invaders of Cape Colony have plenty of ammunition and arms, which were cunningly buried until the Boera were ready to use them. It is also swted that the invasion was carefully, organised, and had been long planned. The Italians are indignant with the Duke of Norfolk, who is leading the British Roman Catholics’ prilgrimage to Rome, for reading the Pope an address_ ardently expressing the hope of his temporal independence and attacking the Protestant missions in Rome. The Pope re-echoed the sentiments contained in the address in stronger terms.
