An action has been commenced by Mr Chamberlayn, theatrical manager, against Miss May Yohe, ‘otherwise Lady Francis Hope, claiming fifty thousand dollars for breach of contract. THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. WASHINGTON, Oct. 12. In connection with the American Presidential election Mr Benjamin Harris has issued a campaign statement. He asserts that Mr Bryan’s success will lead to confusion in the Government and business.
