DOMAIN BOARD.
The Highbank Domain Board met in the local schoolroom on Monday; presentMessrs W. C. Davis (chairman), Driscoll, Callaghan, Smith and Bond. The Chairman reported that tenders had been let for planting 1000 trees. It was decided that Mr H. Ward should be recommended for the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Doherty. The Audit Committee brought up its report, and the and it was decided to forward them, with voucher's, to the Audit Department. The Chairman reported that the grant of £23 from, .the .Ashburton. Countv Council- had been received, _ The sum of J3l was received for grazing. Accounts amounting to £2 lis were passed for payment. The next meeting of the Board will be held on Sept, 3. *,
