Rimu loads material for the Awatere railway bridge at Lyttelton. After landing it at Picton she is to go to Wellington for a cargo of iron for Dunedin-. To-day the "s.s. Rotomahana arrived from. Wellington early in the morning; the s.s. Flora, from Wellington and east coast ports' at 7,20 and the s.s. Rimu from Picton at 8.5 a.xa.-.\ ... The Government Hinemoa left for Wellington during last night. / The JS«w J&saland Shipping Company's a.s. Papaaui leSt Lyttelton at 750 a.m. yesterday for Wangsumi Roadstead, whence she is to go to' Waitara and Wellington. The last-named will be her final port for London. The Union Steamship Company is advised that the British India Steam Navigation Company's eteanier. Obra .left Calcutta for New Zealand on August 12. . Tie Union Steamship Company's s.s. RotoJdno arrived from Newcastle during Wednesday night, and anchored in the stream to await inspection by the health officer. She was fumigated, and was brought. up to the wharf during last night. t Owing to the Union Steamship Company s s.s. Flora having been delayed by bad weather in her departure for the south, she will not leave Dunedin till to-moirow. She is to arrive at Lyttelton on Sunday next, and- leave for the north on Monday. Yesterday the s.s. Flora left for -Dunedm about' 1 p.m., the s.s. Corinna for Wellington, New Plymouth and 'Greymouth a quarter of an hour afterwards, and the s.s. Rotomahana for Wellington about 10.30 p.m. The s.s. Westralia is to arrive to-day from Melbourne viq. southern ports, and is to leave lor Sydney via Wellington about 6 p.m. The s.s. Wakatu is to leave to-night for Cheviot, Kaikoura and Wellington. Before leaving the Flora to take up the duties of chief steward of the Wakatipu on the Australian coast (says -the Wellington "Post"), Mr Watts was presented by the stewards' staff of the 'former vessel with a handsdme marble clock. During his association on this coast with.the red funnel boats, Mt Watts made many friends with- the traveling ipublic. Mr Duncan, second officer of the Rotomaihana, has been transferred to the Kini a* chief officer, "and M3r Stewart, acting chief of the Kini, has replaced idm on the Rotomahana.
