RIFLE SHOOTING.
KOWAI. The annual field day of the Kowai Rifle- Club ■was bold on Queen’s Birthday, at Sefton. There were two matches—one of seven shots » P r-U at 300 and 500yds. In this there were two classes, the first class firing, from scratch and the second class being a handicap.. The following were the results:— ■ First class priz<s winners—D. M’Kay 65, S. W. Smellie (ecr) 46, T. M’Stillau (8) 44, J. Stalker' (scr) 42, R. Vallance (3) 41, J, Pethig (3) 36, G. Bruere (8) 36, J. Dron (scr) 34, W. Stalker (scr) 34, W.
