The booking of seats opens at Messrs Milner and Thompson’s to-morrow, ' and tickets can. be obtained from Messrs Eslick Bros, and Walker. ■ The Engineer’s Band, under Bandmaster ■: Pooley, will give a select programme of ■ music on the Rotunda this evening, . weather permitting. ' The. Students of Truth will meet at the Theosophical Hall on Thursday nights. An 1 address will be given to-night on “In His Steps.” A special -meeting of the City Council 'will be held, at noon to-day. for the purpose of striking the, rates for the year. - . A public conversazione in connection with &e Cathedral Completion Fund ivill be held this evening in the Art Gallery. The Bishop ■ of Christchurch and the Hon C. C. Bowen -•will give addresses. -Mr G. F. Tendallbas arranged a musical programme, and Mr E. W. Seager will show, and Mr C. J. Mount- . fort will describe, a series of limelight views . illustrating the Cathedral as originally designed. Entries ; for the Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club’s Grand National Championship Show, to be held on June 15, 16 and 17, will be reo: .1 at the club's room#, Cathedral Square, between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
