A match was played at Amberley on Saturday between the Amberley Club and a second team ■ from the Rangiora Club, tbo borne players winning by 79 games to 54. The play was as follows; —Ladies’ Singles—Miss A. Coleman (A) beat Miss Hoaro (11), G-3; Miss Scott (R) beat Miss Coleman (A), G-3; Mias Coleman (A) beat Mrs Ogden til), 6-1; Mrs Lano (B) beat Mrs Alley (A), 6-2. Gentlemen’s Singles—Mason (A) beat L, Strong (R), G-2; Wagner (A) beat Howard (E), 6-1; Pearce (A) beat Ogden (R), 6-0; A. Strong (R) beat Moore (A), 6-5. Ladies’ Doubles—Misses Coleman and A. Coleman (A) beat Misses Hoare and Scott, 6-4; Miss Coleman and Mrs Alley (A) beat Mrs Ogdon and Mrs Lane (R), 6-2. Gentlemen’s Doubles —Messrs Wagner and Moore (A) boat Messrs Howard and A. Strong (R), G-5. Combined Doubles —Miss Hoaro and B. Strong (K) beat Miss A. Coleman and Mason (A), G-4; Miss Coleman and Pearce (A) beat Miss Scott and Ogden. (R), 6-4; Miss Scott and Howard (R) boat Miss A. Coleman and Wagner (A), 6-5; Mrs Alley and Moore (A) boat Mrs Lane and A. Strong (R), 6-2.
