From Observations Taken at 9 a. at . The .morning.generally was bright, with a blue sky. The highest shade temperature was 63, in the extreme north, and the lowest! 45, at Bealey; Auckland 60, Wellington 55, Christchurch 62, Dunedin 58. Barometer—Auckland 30.(16. Wellington 29.90, Christchurch 29.97, Bluff 29.75. Th e wind was variable, a light north-wester blowing at Bealey. There was heavy rain and a flood in the river at Gisborne on Sunday. The sea was rough at Cape Maria van Diemen, smooth or moderate elsewhere. At Christchurch the morning was hazy and the barometer was falling very slowly.
