TUESDAY.—Rotomahana arrives from Wellington, and leaves on return trip. Janet Nicoll leaves for; Westport.

The schooner Marmion, now six weeks overdue at Tairua from Napier, is owned and sailed by Captain Richard Wood, for many years a resident of Lyttelton. The tug Lyttelton, when entering the moles yesterday afternoon, came into contact with a lighter that was being towed out by the launch Canterbury. The lighter received seme damage to' her bows and- had to be beached in Sandy Bay. The ship Nelson was floated out of the graving dock yesterday and berthed at No. 4 wharf, where she loads her cargo for London. The ship will now have quick despatch, as it is understood that her cargo is nearly all ready for shipment. The steamer Hawke’s' Bay will arrive in port on Thursday from New York, via way porta. The steamer Wanaka was placed in the graving dock yesterday afternoon, to be cleaned and painted. The ship Wellington was towed to sea early yesterday morning, and set sail for London. She takes a full cargo of produce, including nearly 12,000 sacks of wheat. TELEGRAPH NOTICE BOARD.
