The Harbour Board has got from the Auckland Savings Bank an offer to take the whole of the £60,000 loan required to equip the Calliope Dock, at 3| per cent. The bank has a very large sum to invest at low interest, and will be glad to haVe easily convertible securities like these harbour debentures, which are virtually under Imperial guarantee.
