MR HYDE’S PAMPHLET. (From Our Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, April 19-
Mr D. D. Hyde, the Government poultry expert, has just issued his long-expected illustrated pamphlet ou poultry and eggs for market and export. Iu his preiace he says .—“(This pamphlet is intended as a haudv book of reference for farmers and others, showing them improved methods of poultry-keeping, so that they may derive a present benefit and also be getting into a position to take advantage of foreign maikets when these have been made fullV a\ ailable. Directions for the preparation and shipment of frozen poultry, based on Australian experience, and also bints as to the shipment of eggs, are appended, ihe difference of the seasons in New Zealand and England will enable us bo find a good market in London for both poultry and eggs at times of the year when we can most conveniently produce them!. Our climate is well suited to the industry, and grain, etc., for food can bo grown very cheaply, lousing, fowls for export is not thought to be a vei } payable industry by itself.
