ACCIDENTS AND NATALITIES.
[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 19. At the inquest on Hugh Caine, who was found dead on the road at Howick, the jury returned a verdict that the deceased was apparently lying on. the road when he was accidentally killed by the %vheels of a vehicle passing over his body; but what or whose vehicle there was no evidence to show. , MASTERTON,, April 19. Human remains found near Eketahuna aro believed to be those of William Clements, who some years ago, alter a drinking bout, left for PaJiiatua, and was never heard of again. WELLINGTON, April 19. A settler named Bambry was found drowned in the Mangatei stream, twelve miles from Makuri. He leaves a large family. Guard Munro met with an accident on Wednesday -evening when attempting to jump on the train, at Bennetts Junction. He came in contact with the point lever, which threw him down. Dr Yolckman attended to his injuries, which are not thought veiy serious.
