TO THE EDITOR.. : Sir, —It is to be regretted that at Wednesday’s meeting of the Institute so many male teachers spoke in a way calculated to lead ordinary mortals to think they had a bias against technical education. After reading the debate, I thought of the cogent reasons advanced and advocated at the North Canterbury School Committees’ Association by Mr Ell and others in favour of technical education, and reported in the “ Lyttelton "Times.”—l am, &c„, , GORDIAN KNOT.
